You will be pleased to know that as part of our dedication to bringing you heaps of inspiration and encouragement to say yes, we are now dedicating an actual slot in our business meetings to putting together these monthly round-ups for you…

March is packed full of lots of occasions that are the perfect reason to say yes a little more!

St Patrick’s day

The patron saint of Ireland’s special day is now synonymous with partying – whether you are Irish or not. In fact, whether you live in Ireland or not. There are events taking places across the country that encourage you to get involved in the raucous fun, but not all of them centre around boozing (not entirely, at least).

Including traditional St Patrick Day parades and festivals, these happen across the country – including Birmingham, London and Manchester. But have a google for other’s local to you!

And, in the spirit of the Irish patron saint, we will be sharing some memories from a trip to Dublin in a couple of weeks.

Easter

Whether or not you have kids, the best thing about Easter is most definitely Easter Egg hunts. Unfortunately the organised ones tend to be aimed at the young ‘uns – but the National Trust has everything in hand with 250 egg hunts to choose from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

If you don’t want to go to an organised one (particularly for the adults that are too shy to race kiddies to the chocolate), you might want to organise your own at home. Net mums have some great advice on organising the ultimate Easter Egg hunt.

Getting together

With a long weekend on the horizon, Easter is also a good time to get together with friends and family…. it doesn’t have to cost the earth, if the weather is on your side then you just need to pick a park and ask everyone to bring a picnic item and spend the day lazing around in each other’s company.

If mother nature doesn’t smile on us over the bank holiday (as tend to be the habit) then you just need to coax someone into hosting with the promise of a hand clearing up and all of the leftover food.

Whatever you do, spending time with the people you love is the best thing you can ever say yes to.

If you do want to get out and about don’t forget to trawl through the Year of the Yes archives.

The joys of spring

When March arrives, co-founder Emma packs her bags and heads back to her childhood home on the farm to help with lambing time (not manual help, you understand, she’s chief chef for those that actually do the hard work).

Which means that it is also the perfect time for you to get out and see new born lambs! There are lots of petting farms around the UK – you can google to find yours, or search on Days Out with the Kids.

Of course the other thing that is synonymous with Spring is beautiful flowers. Which makes March the perfect time to pick up a new floristry skill! You can find lots of courses, of varying skill levels, on Hot Courses.
